Telford Public Transport
has designed this page to help you with the process of applying for your first bus pass, renewing it when it expires and information on replacing
it if lost or stolen.
The Concessionary Travel Scheme offers travel for residents who are age eligible, or people with disabilities who qualify under certain criteria.
The scheme allows free travel on local bus services throughout England, between 9.30am and 11pm Monday to Friday and at any time on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
Please note: Only for use on English local bus services and does not include National Express or rail services
Am I Eligible?
If you live permanently in Telford and Wrekin and you come within at least one of the groups listed below, you may be entitled to concessionary travel:
•from 6 April 2010 the age of eligibility for concessionary travel for women will be pension age and for men it will be the pensionable age of a woman born on the same day. See pension calculator on the Gov.UK website
•you are registered blind or partially sighted, having either total or a high degree of visual loss
•you are profoundly or severely deaf and/or without speech
•you have a disability or injury which has a substantial and long term adverse effect on your ability to walk
•you have no arms, or have long term loss of the use of both arms
•you have a learning disability
•you have been prevented from holding or would be refused a driving licence but this is subject to criteria
To apply for concessionary travel you must complete an application form, you can either;
apply online or pick up the form from your local First Point.
If you are eligible for a concessionary bus pass you can apply at several locations throughout the Telford and Wrekin region.

You will need to take with you proof of age and eligibility ie. a Birth Certificate
and evidence of your proof of address. An example of this may be a utility bill such as a gas bill or electricity bill.
If you lose your bus pass you can re-apply for another one at any one of the above locations but there is a £5.00 surcharge for replacement.
